Welcome to the FARM
Brush & Trouble Farm is a small, pasture-based livestock operation located in northern Boone County, MO. We raise broilers (meat chickens) and pigs on pasture, supplementing with non-GMO feed and rotating regularly to fresh green forage. We also raise 100% grass-fed Jacob lamb and partner with Covered-L Farm in raising and marketing their 100% grass-fed beef. We use Management-Intensive Grazing practices to give our pastures time to recover before grazing again and work toward integration among livestock enterprises so that one species is fertilizing pasture for or cleaning up after the next. We believe in growing at a pace that allows us to not only maintain but to constantly improve our standards and practices. We strive to savor the many joys of farm life and embrace the challenges -the “brush and trouble”- as well.

I’ll lie and think about that ham long after it is gone.”
